Assistant Professor or Higher Pediatric Anesthesiology(Anesthesiology)

Major/Essential Functions

• Provides pediatric anesthesia patient care, clinical anesthesia, supervision of CRNAs and other trainees
• Supervises residents, and participates in teaching activities for medical student and/or residents
• Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship
• Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work and other administrative duties
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
• Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
• Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complementary to the institutional mission
• Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's declarations of Faculty Professional Responsibility
• Upholds and promotes the values-based culture of TTUHSC El Paso

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Experience in teaching students and residents
• Emerging or established regional or national reputation for the rank of associate professor or higher

Pay Statement

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Texas medical license or eligible for unrestricted Medical Licensure in the State of Texas
• Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Anesthesiology
• Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology or board certification in Pediatric Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology
