Armor is looking for skilled welders who can transform blueprints into finished products with precision, craftsmanship, and attention to detail.In this role, you'll work with aluminum and other metals to fabricate, fit, and weld components that meet exact specifications while collaborating with a team committed to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.What You'll DoAs an Aluminum Welder, you will:Set up, lay out, fit, tack, and weld aluminum components according to blueprints and specificationsRead and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawingsPerform MIG and TIG welding on aluminum materials in horizontal and vertical positionsEnsure dimensional accuracy by squaring, aligning, and maintaining proper weldment geometryPrepare and inspect materials prior to welding, including edge preparation and fit-upComplete grinding, finishing, and cosmetic weld cleanup as requiredInspect completed weldments to verify compliance with quality standards and engineering specificationsSafely move parts and assemblies using approved material-handling equipmentMeet production schedules while maintaining high levels of workmanship and safetyCollaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to ensure successful project completionWhat We're Looking ForRequired Skills & QualificationsProven aluminum MIG and/or TIG welding experienceAbility to pass aluminum welding qualification tests (vertical down and horizontal positions)Strong blueprint-reading and weld symbol interpretation skillsExperience with fabrication, fit-up, and weldment assemblyAbility to use precision measuring tools and maintain dimensional accuracyStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipAbility to work independently and as part of a teamMust provide and maintain required personal hand toolsEffective communication and problem-solving skillsPreferred QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED2+ years of fabrication and welding experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience working with aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steelFamiliarity with MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Core welding processesEquipment You'll UseAluminum MIG and TIG welding equipmentAngle grinders (4.5" and 7.5")Plasma cuttersOxy-fuel cutting equipmentClamps, fixtures, and fabrication toolsOverhead cranes and material-handling equipmentPhysical RequirementsLift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionallyStand for extended periods throughout the shiftPush, pull, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movementsDemonstrate strong manual dexterity and visual acuityWork safely in a manufacturing environmentWhy Join Armor?At Armor, we value employees who are:Customer-FocusedPassionate About Their WorkSolution-OrientedDriven by IntegrityIf you're looking for an opportunity to grow your welding career, work on challenging projects, and be part of a team that values craftsmanship and quality, we'd love to hear from you.Apply today and bring your aluminum welding expertise to Armor's manufacturing team.
