A Registered Nurse opportunity in Cardiac Telemetry Services is available at a 285+ bed Level II Trauma Center in Independence, MO — an accredited Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center that also features a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and an accredited Cancer Program and Breast Center.

The role. This position is based on a 36-bed cardiac specialty unit serving a wide variety of monitored patients, including chest pain, stroke, COPD, post-operative, GI, accelerated heart rhythm, and drip patients — many stepping down from PCU and the Level II Trauma Center. The cardiac telemetry RN assesses acute changes in patient condition, continuously monitors and analyzes heart rhythms, interprets ECGs, identifies arrhythmias, and intervenes in emergency situations. The nurse provides direct care for patients ages 16 and older — including young adults, adults, and geriatric patients — while developing advanced knowledge in the psychosocial, pathophysiological, and therapeutic components specific to step-down and cardiac monitoring care. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 4–5:1 on days and 5–6:1 on nights, with one tech per hall.

What we're looking for.

• 1 year of Acute Care RN experience
• Graduation from a school of nursing with either a Diploma, ADN, or BSN
• Must hold a current RN license from the Missouri State Board of Nursing or Multistate RN license from a participating compact state required
• BLS certification required upon hire
• ACLS certification within 1 year of hire date

Schedule. Days and nights with rotating weekends.

Compensation. $32.00 - $43.00/hr plus $3 sign-on bonus
