Senior Claims Specialist - EPL/Fiduciary

Senior Claims Specialist – EPL and Fiduciary Claims AXIS is hiring a Senior Claims Specialist to manage primary and excess claims across its North America Claim Team. The role involves investigating, analyzing, and evaluating coverage for Employment Practices and Third Party Liability claims, with opportunities to develop expertise in Fiduciary Claims. Responsibilities: Handling and managing complex Employment Practices Liability Claims to determine appropriate valuation, settlement strategies and ensure adherence to company policies. Attending mediations and monitoring trials as necessary. Drafting coverage correspondence on primary claims, negotiating complex coverage issues, and recommending outside coverage counsel when warranted. Mentoring junior claims adjusters. Supporting underwriting and actuarial teams by maintaining data and analytics. Maintaining and developing relationships with senior executives, brokers, underwriters, insureds, and outside counsel. Managing costs in collaboration with the Litigation Management and Vendor Management teams. Maintaining accurate records of claim activities and updating systems with relevant information in a timely manner. Qualifications: Hold a Juris Doctorate. Demonstrate ability to work as a team and meet deadlines. Have skills in litigation management, investigation, dispute resolution. Have experience independently drafting coverage letters. Have excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to deal with a wide range of stakeholders. Role Factors: The position requires office attendance 3 days per week and adherence to AXIS licensing requirements. What We Offer: You will receive a base salary in the range of $130,000 - $160,000. Salary offers are based on assessment of experience and location. In addition, a competitive target incentive compensation is available, with awards tied to corporate and individual performance. You will also be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including medical plans for you and your family, health and wellness programs, retirement plans, tuition reimbursement, paid vacation, and more.
