Sr. Specialist, Operations Management III

We’re building a relationship‑oriented bank for the modern world. This Senior Loan Coordinator role is housed in CIBC’s Loan Closing Team and is responsible for the receipt, review and approval of Commercial and Commercial Real Estate loan documentation and due diligence, ensuring each transaction is in compliance with Bank Policies, Guidelines, and Federal and State Regulations. Responsibilities Ensure that the proposed transaction is in compliance with Bank Policies and Guidelines and Federal and State Regulations. Review and approve Commercial and Commercial Real Estate loan documentation, whether attorney‑prepared or documented in house via LaserPro, and ensure conformity with the approved Loan Presentation. Verify loan documentation and closing deliverables have been received or appropriately waived prior to the loan funding and booking processes. Coordinate with the Line of Business Relationship Manager, Portfolio Coordinator, Loan Operations, Business Support Units, Title Companies, Outside Counsel, Syndications and Administrative Agents. Track and board loan document exceptions to ensure liens are properly perfected and all necessary documents are recorded and delivered to the Bank in a timely manner. Report to the Loan Closing Team Lead and, as delegated, manage pipeline maintenance, project participation or act as the Team Lead’s delegate. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Minimum 10+ years related experience; Loan Closing experience (or similar) in a bank or financial institution environment is required. Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills (written and verbal) are required. Commercial loan documentation and product knowledge is required. Detail‑oriented with ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment. Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft 365 productivity software. Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills. Ability to balance client service and risk management. Knowledge of CIBC’s loan systems: FIS, ACBS, PCFS, Aspire, and related asset‑management platforms is preferred. Benefits & Compensation Salary range: $115,000 - $125,000. Eligible to participate in the business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may include a discretionary bonus component.
