Job Description

A partner of Insight Global is looking for a Controller to lead all accounting and financial reporting activities across multiple consumer brands and legal entities. This role oversees financial reporting, internal controls, compliance, audit and tax coordination, and period-end close while partnering closely with the CFO and senior leadership. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, high-integrity leader who thrives in fast-paced, multi-entity environments and drives continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

-Prepare accurate and timely financial statements

-Oversee day-to-day accounting functions including A/P, A/R, payroll, cost accounting, and month-end/year-end close.

-Communicate financial results, trends, and insights to executive leadership.

-Establish, maintain, and improve internal controls to ensure GAAP compliance.

-Partner on documenting and standardizing accounting processes and workflows.

-Serve as primary liaison for external auditors and manage audit execution.

-Support budgeting, forecasting, working capital management, and KPI reporting.

-Collaborate with operations on inventory management and cost accounting.

-Drive process improvements with a target five-day close.

-Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance teams across entities.

Skills and Requirements

-Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.

-3+ years in a leadership role.

-Strong GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance experience.

-Experience in multi-entity and/or manufacturing environments.

-ERP experience required; NetSuite strongly preferred.

-High integrity, strong attention to detail, and ability to operate in changing environments.

-Experience in consumer products, retail, e-commerce, or omni-channel businesses. -CPA and/or Master's degree.

-Inventory experience with centralized distribution and 3PL providers.

-Experience with Shopify, Power BI, Microsoft tools, DataLake, or Azure.

-Background in change management, shared services, or enterprise system implementations.
