The Tampa office is actively seeking an attorney who can immediately contribute to a busy labor and employment team. Labor & Employment Associate Attorney Benefits & Compensation Competitive base salary starting around $185,000+, with flexibility based on experience 1,850 billable hour requirement with bonus eligibility beginning at 1,950 hours, including a $10,000 bonus opportunity and additional production-based incentives Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan Professional development and mentorship opportunities Clear path for long-term career growth within a nationally respected law firm Opportunity to work alongside experienced labor and employment attorneys on sophisticated matters Labor & Employment Associate Attorney Requirements & Qualifications Active Florida Bar license in good standing 4–6 years of labor and employment litigation experience Defense-side labor and employment experience strongly preferred Ability to independently manage litigation matters from inception through resolution Experience handling all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and hearings Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities Strong academic credentials Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities Ability to work full‑time in the Tampa office Labor & Employment Associate Attorney Preferred Background & Skills Experience advising employers on workplace issues and employment-related disputes Experience handling discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, and other employment litigation matters Familiarity with federal and state employment laws Experience working collaboratively within a litigation team while also managing matters independently Strong client-service orientation and business-minded approach to legal practice Labor & Employment Associate Attorney Day-to-Day Responsibilities Manage labor and employment litigation matters from inception through resolution Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal memoranda Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategiesTake and defend depositions Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, and other court proceedings Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and witnesses Collaborate with partners and attorneys across the firm's labor and employment practice Provide practical legal guidance and strategic counsel to employer clients If you are a labor and employment attorney seeking a sophisticated litigation practice, meaningful client interaction, and long-term career growth with a nationally respected law firm, we encourage you to apply. #J-18808-Ljbffr Goodwin Recruiting
