Monday - Thursday 6:30am - 5pm

$20 p/hr

Summary Fabricates wooden crates, packs products, load and unload trucks by performing the following duties:

 

Duties

 

Reads shipping notices, and other specifications, and inspects product to determine size and shape of container, materials to be used , and types of supports and braces to be used.

 

Layouts dimensions on materials with ruler, measuring tape, and pencil. Saw and assembles materials to size. Builds crate around large or odd shaped articles. 

 

Places product in container using proper safety devises. Staples or secure cover on crate. When required, wraps and tightens metal bands around crate. Bolts heavy pieces to bottom of container or skid.

 

Attaches identification labels or stencils containing such information as shipping destination, weight and type of product contained in crate. Moves crate to shipping area, moves lumber, paper, and other wrapping supplies to crating area. Loads trucks.
