Job Title Compensation Principal Job Description The Compensation Principal acts as a business partner and subject‑matter expert to provide consultation, analysis, and advice to Human Resources Relationship Managers, business leaders, and managers regarding compensation matters. The role has high visibility and requires a consulting style approach to partner with HR on a variety of compensation initiatives. Responsibilities Point of contact for business leaders, HR and managers for compensation related matters (within designated business groups). Proactively share insights into compensation market trends impacting the various business areas. Undertake market competitive analysis and share findings internally. Ensure compensation structures and levels are competitive to attract and retain employees. Advise on compensation levels for new hire offers and conduct supporting analysis. Work as part of the Global Compensation team to design and manage base pay and corporate bonus programs. Support the delivery of the annual compensation review cycle. Undertake projects such as in‑depth analysis or development of compensation structures for new roles or business areas. Collaborate to develop procedures, analytics, and compensation reporting, including preparation of content for Compensation Committees. Participate in industry network forums to stay abreast of trends. Help ensure that the firm’s policies are current with regard to market trends, practices, and costs. Qualifications Comprehensive knowledge and experience of compensation/reward practices. Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in a compensation role, either in‑house or in consulting. Financial Services background preferred. Exceptional analytical and numeracy skills; comfortable working with large amounts of data and communicating findings. Customer‑service orientation with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data findings into clear and concise documents and presentations. High attention to detail and capability to see the broader picture. Hands‑on, roll‑your‑sleeves attitude. Proactive and creative, willing to make recommendations and exercise initiative. Strong cross‑cultural awareness, sensitivity, and high level of confidentiality. Problem‑solving ability and independent judgment using analytical and consulting skills. Strong project management skills, including developing project plans, scoping, and ensuring execution and delivery. Excellent interpersonal skills, comfortable interacting with people at all levels. Ability to work independently and in a team environment; use discretion in uncertain, changing situations. Bachelor’s degree. Location 280 Congress Benefits and Compensation Base salary range: USD120,000–225,000. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/or Incentives, if eligible.
