Accounts Payable Manager

Scott Electric has a current opening at our Greensburg, PA (Wellington) branch for an Accounts Payable Manager, M-F 8:00 am-5:00 pm.

Responsibilities:

• Manager all Accounts Payable functions and processes. Ensuring invoices, payments, credits, and vendor accounts are processed accurately and on time to capture available vendor discounts


• Lead, develop, and manage the Accounts Payable department, including training, coaching, and performance management


• Review and approve invoices, payment batches, vendor setups, and adjustments


• Oversee department workflow, allocate resources, and prioritize activities to ensure operational efficiency and effective workload, management


• Partner with Purchasing, Warehouse and other cross-functional departments to resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders, receipts, and vendor invoices


• Manage vendor relationships and serve as the primary point for complex payment issues, disputes, and inquiries


• Develop, implement, and maintain accounts Payable policies, procedures, and best practices to improve accuracy and efficiency


• Identify and recommend process improvement initiatives, including automation opportunities and system enhancements


• Safeguard confidential financial and employee information while promoting strong ethical and internal control practices

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of Accounts Payable experience


• Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable operations. Vendor management, internal controls, and three-way matching processes


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills


• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment


• High level of attention to detail, accuracy and commitment to quality

Preferences:

• Management or supervisory experience


• Experience with ERP/accounting systems, Infor ERP
