Vascular Surgery – Advanced Practice Provider Location: Chicago, Illinois Business Unit: Rush Medical Group Hospital: Rush University Medical Center Position Highlights Rush Heart & Vascular’s downtown Chicago practice is based at Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges. Join a collaborative team of six vascular surgeons and four advanced practice providers. This position is primarily based at Rush’s downtown Chicago campus and follows a Monday–Friday schedule consisting of four 10-hour shifts, with no nights, weekends, or call responsibilities. Provide care for patients with complex medical conditions across both inpatient and outpatient settings. Qualifications APRN candidates must hold Acute Care Certification (required). Prior APP experience in Vascular Surgery strongly preferred; relevant RN experience may also be considered. Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence, strong communication skills, and collaborative, team‑based care. Position Requirements - Nurse Practitioner Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process. Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with clinical specialty appropriate to position. Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP). CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Position Requirements - Physician Assistant Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Physician Assistant/Associate or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process. Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant/Associate Program. Current certification from National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
