On Call - EMT and Paramedic Laboratory Technician Position Summary: The EMS Laboratory Technician aids in the education of EMS students and should possess sound clinical knowledge in EMS. Responsibilities Assist the Program Coordinator and ancillary staff with all course paperwork, data collection/entry, copying, faxing, emailing, and postage of various program content. Assist Program Coordinator with lab and/or class services to include gathering needed equipment, room set‑up, take‑down and exam proctoring. Assist with scenario/role‑playing exercises and evaluations of classroom or lab activities. Clean specialty rooms/labs, including vacuuming and dusting. Transport supplies and/or equipment to various teaching locations on campus. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications State of Michigan EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic license in good standing. AHA BLS (ACLS required for all Paramedic Techs). One (1) year of experience in current level of licensure with a transporting life support agency. Currently working for a transporting life support agency. Hold a state of Michigan operator driver’s license in good standing. Ability to complete all tasks of the EMT/Paramedic Core Performance Standards. Available for night, day, and weekend shifts. Preferred Qualifications Paramedic license. Associate Degree in EMS or related field. Five (5)+ years of relevant field experience. Community college/higher education experience. Experience with assessment of student learning outcomes. Experience with distance learning and/or alternate instructional delivery systems. Michigan EMS Instructor/Coordinator License. Compensation Salary: $25 per hour. #J-18808-Ljbffr Schoolcraft College
