Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Labcorp

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist for night shift work at a hospital laboratory in Pensacola, Florida. The role involves performing routine and complex laboratory testing, operating instrumentation, and ensuring quality control in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

Evaluate specimen acceptability using established quality criteria
Perform routine and complex technical laboratory procedures according to protocols
Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper function
Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents and quality control materials
Document preventive maintenance, quality control procedures, and test results

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Science, Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
One year or more clinical laboratory testing experience OR Master of Laboratory Science degree
Florida Medical Technologist (MT) license
Ability to work rotating night shifts and overtime as needed
Proficiency with laboratory information systems and computers
Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)

Compensation: $10,000 sign-on bonus (external candidates only)
