Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - Emergency Medicine 324 Royal Palm Way #100, Palm Beach, FL 33480 In the role of an Advanced Care Provider (Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner) you will provide concierge emergency medical care to Sollis Health patients in our clinics as well as conduct concierge medical at-home visits to Sollis Health patients and treat them accordingly, with the supervision/oversight of an attending Physician. This is a pivotal role as part of a growing organization providing seamless care to both adult and pediatric patients for cases that would usually come into an emergency department or clinic. Part Time - 11p-7a (Very low volume overnight shift! 0-3 pts per night) - 16 hours/week Responsibilities Perform medical evaluations and formulate a differential diagnosis and treatment plan to occur in our facilities for urgent and emergent care within the scope of emergency medicine. Apply knowledge and experience with high level medical conditions such as atrial fibrillation, supra-ventricular tachycardia, congestive heart failure, acute abdominal pain with focal peritonitis, anaphylaxis, bronchiolitis, sepsis, complex pediatric patients, complex geriatric patients with multiple coexisting medical problems, advanced EKG interpretation, procedural sedation, joint reductions and ocular and ENT emergencies. Perform medical procedures that include obtaining IV access and administration of fluids and medications, splinting, suturing, phlebotomy, performing point-of-care testing, and performing EKGs. Work closely with a team of Physicians, nurses, and technicians to support you in providing care. Assess and treat COVID-related cases which includes obtaining clinical samples to test for the virus, performing point-of-care testing, obtaining blood for antibody tests, providing general symptom management and recommendations. Maintain detailed clinical charting including history of present illness, area-specific physical exam, well-thought-out differential diagnosis, and a treatment plan geared toward those specific diagnoses. Work closely with the Medical Director and other clinical team members to ensure all policies are adhered to and that you deliver top quality care. Provide concierge care with high-level customer service, attending to patients’ needs at all levels, including families and physicians. Exercise the highest level of professionalism with patients and colleagues. Coordinate additional care with our Care Coordination, house-calls teams or with one of our Medical Partners. Contribute to overall success by participating in related operational projects as needed. Ensure comprehensive transfer of responsibility for any pending labs or imaging to our in-clinic providers at the end of your shift. Perform related duties as requested. Experience Bachelor’s Degree required. Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program, required. Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner state license and ability to practice in Florida. Preferred 2-3 years of experience in emergency departments and/or urgent care centers. DEA license required. BLS, ACLS, PALS certification required upon hire. Excellent clinical care and patient satisfaction in emergency department and urgent care settings. Skills Strong clinical skills. Tech savvy with ability to use and learn systems including Slack, Athena Health, Salesforce, and Humanity. Proficient in phlebotomy, peripheral IV placement, medication administration. Adaptable and able to work in a fluid, multitasking environment. Strong process and organizational skills. Problem‑solving and think outside of the box.
