Job Description

This role supports a high-volume production department by filling, packaging, and preparing liquid and powdered products for shipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will work with batch sheets, operate equipment, and handle materials of varying weights while maintaining accuracy, safety, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Work in a loud, fast-paced, and sometimes dirty production environment while following all safety and quality procedures.
• Load, unload, count, label, ship, and pack products coming off the production line.
• Handle products ranging from approximately 5 lbs to 50 lbs throughout the shift.
• Fill finished products and raw materials into customer-specified containers, including gallon jugs, small drums, and small containers.
• Follow batch sheets to accurately fill orders for various customers.
• Use basic measurement and mathematical skills to ensure correct quantities and formulations.
• Operate and work within a DOSS computer system to support production activities.
• Perform data entry to track production progress, equipment status, and order updates.
• Report directly to shift supervisors and communicate effectively about production issues and progress.
• Work alongside other production workers to meet production goals and timelines.
• Perform additional duties in the production area as needed to support overall operations.
• Package finished products according to specifications and prepare them for shipment.
• Operate machinery and equipment in alignment with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
• Support batch mixing activities as needed to maintain continuous production flow.
• Assist in moving product from the packaging department to the warehouse area for shipment preparation.
• Learn and follow warehouse procedures within a manufacturing environment as part of cross-functional duties.

Essential Skills

• Batch mixing experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Machine operating experience within a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment.
• Packing experience in a GMP environment.
• Stand-up reach truck experience with at least 6+ months of hands-on use.
• Demonstrated good work tenure, with more than 1+ year in a prior position.
• Ability to work with a computer, including using systems such as a DOSS computer system.
• Basic measurement and mathematical skills to follow batch sheets and fill orders accurately.
• High School Diploma or GED (required to transition to permanent employment).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Downers Grove, IL.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Downers Grove,IL.
