Chief Facility EngineerIAP World Services, an Intrepid Global Solutions company, is a recognized leader in Facilities Management and Operations in support of Defense, Intelligence, and National Security missions.Under a major Intelligence Community contract, IAP operates and maintains facilities, systems, and associated grounds across Virginia and Maryland. Services provided include comprehensive facility operations; project management for renovations, minor construction, and major equipment repairs; engineering, construction, and operations support; custodial and grounds maintenance services; environmental, safety, and occupational health support; food services; motorpool and logistics operations; and physical and technical security services.As the Chief Facility Engineer, you will serve as a Lead on assigned projects and perform complex to difficult engineering assignments, evaluates, selects, and apply advanced engineering techniques to a broad set of complex assignments.Essential Job Functions:Develop and review estimates and schedules, progress reports, including manpower forecastsEstablish, track, and monitor material key quantities; provide analysis and forecastsDevelop and review specifications, including design criteriaParticipate in activities associated with equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontractingPerform and check calculations, specify equipment, and solve problems of complex to difficult engineering complexityParticipate in people development through mentoring, development of training material, conducting training seminars, and performance appraisal input and counselingAnalyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelinesEducation & Experience:Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent field.10 years of managing large scale projectsLicensed Professional EngineerKnowledge & Skills:Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitorsJob related technical knowledge necessary to complete the jobAbility to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelinesAbility to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective mannerProfessional registration and membership in technical society (preferred)Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability and cost of materialsEffort-hour estimating and staff forecastingManaging and leading a large projectProject set-up, developing control-level schedules, progress reporting and project close-outPractical field experienceIntermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programsKnowledge of process improvement models (6S, LEAN, ISO)Providing high quality customer serviceBuilding and sustaining high performing teamsManaging O&M and construction projectsLarge scale capital planning and improvement projectsProject schedule integrationSecurity Clearance: Top Secret SCI w/ Full Scope PolyIntrepid Acquisition Holdings, LLC
