Pharmacist PositionHannaford Supermarkets started out as a fresh produce vendor in Portland, Maine way back in 1883, and is still connected to those early roots as a local market. The connection we have to the source of our fresh foods is core to the way we do business, becoming the first major supermarket in the United States to document that all its seafood products were sustainably harvested.Duties and responsibilities include greeting all customers and providing them with prompt and courteous service and assistance, helping pharmacists prepare prescriptions, ensuring customers receive all their prescriptions, filing written prescriptions forms, preparing and completing manual insurance claim forms, maintaining organized filing systems, helping customers find over the counter items, maintaining a broad understanding of HBC MPP scheduling system, assisting in data entry, maintaining attendance and vacation log information, understanding Pharmacy Standard Practice Manual, ordering, stocking, maintaining and returning pharmacy inventory, assisting in processing pharmacy outdates and credits, maintaining department maintenance and cleanliness, maintaining pharmacy department supplies, observing and adhering to all company policies, maintaining a neat, well-groomed personal appearance, working within company's management planning guidelines, supporting company's safety standards, communicating any needed equipment repairs or maintenance work, keeping work area free of debris and safety hazards, treating all co-workers with fairness, dignity and respect, maintaining the quality of department's appearance and presentation, and performing all other duties as assigned.Qualifications include successful completion of criminal background check and drug testing, excellent communication and customer service skills, strong keyboard skills, basic mathematic skills, effective time management skills, ability to multi-task in a stressful environment, effective interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job, good problem-solving abilities, high levels of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.Physical requirements include standing 100% of the time with occasional walking short distances, using computer/keyboard/mouse/biometric scanner 100% of time, using hands to frequently/continuously handle a variety of sizes of containers then manipulate individual pills/capsules and the equipment used to count them, clerical accuracy skills and mathematical skills including the ability to operate cash register, ability to use staplers, calculators, communication and computer systems frequently, frequent/continuous reaching, grasping, lifting, and carrying up to 20 lb. below the waist level and at or above shoulder level, bending at the knees and waist repetitively up to 30% of the work day, and having sufficient visual acuity and audio capability to process prescriptions and service customers.
