Surgical Tech - OB Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: OB Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Valid Compact license required Certifications: BLS, CST, NBSTSA Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Familiarity with charting systems Ability to handle patient care in labor and delivery Description:This position requires a Certified OB Tech to work in a surgical services role.The schedule consists of night shifts, typically from 19:00 to 07:00.It is expected that the OB Tech will work every other weekend.The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in aseptic technique, equipment documentation, and isolation precautions.Experience with labor and delivery is essential, particularly in handling cesarean sections and hysterectomies.The unit supports a daily census of approximately 11 patients.Interdisciplinary support is provided in various areas including respiratory services and rapid response teams.Candidates should prepare to work three out of five specified holidays.Continued professional development and adherence to established protocols are crucial for this role.Moreover, the OB Tech will be expected to adhere to safety procedures, including universal protocol and specimen handling.This position does not require on-call duties, but flexibility within the contracted schedule is necessary. #J-18808-Ljbffr Cynet HealthStaff
