Job Title
Their primary responsibilities and duties include:
- Welcoming and assisting patients in person or over the phone
- Scheduling and confirming patient appointments
- Handling patient registration by obtaining, verifying, and updating necessary information
- Collecting and processing patient insurance details
- Coordinating with medical staff to ensure proper patient flow
- Resolving patient issues and answering inquiries about services and procedures
- Ensuring that all patient data is protected and confidential, in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Coordinating patient admission and discharge procedures
- Training and overseeing support staff on administrative procedures and software
- Handling patient billing and payment processes
