FAMILY LAW PARALEGAL — FULL-TIME
Parker Bryan Family Law | Moore County, NC
Two years of on-site paralegal experience required.
Hybrid/flexible scheduling available depending on qualifications and experience.
At Parker Bryan's Carthage office, you'll manage complex matters under Brent Tanner, a board-certified family lawyer. Here you’ll have a meaningful impact on families in a collaborative, low-ego setting; an environment where your contributions are noticed and your judgment is respected.
** WHAT YOU'LL DO **
- Maintain client files, including debt/asset inventories, witness affidavits, and child support worksheets
- Prepare and review discovery documents: disclosure statements, interrogatories, and document production requests
- Manage scheduling of consultations, client meetings, pertinent deadlines, and trial dates
- Prepare hearing and deposition binders, conference with the legal team on case strategy and trial exhibits
- Draft and file subpoenas, responses, and motions with precision
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum two years of on-site paralegal experience in family law or civil litigation — this is not an entry-level position
- Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certification preferred
- Solid experience using the NC eCourts platform; a firm understanding of NC Family Law Civil Procedure and General Statutes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; Clio experience is a plus
- Proactive, articulate, and empathetic communicator-able to speak clearly and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff
- Exceptional written communication — grammar, spelling, and precision in legal drafting
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and a calm, professional presence with clients navigating divorce and custody matters
