A growing women's health program is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife for a locum assignment beginning November 2026.

Schedule


3-7 shifts per month


12-hour shifts:


7:00 AM - 7:00 PM


7:00 PM - 7:00 AM


24-hour shifts:


7:00 AM - 7:00 AM


In-house coverage only


No additional call responsibilities

Clinical Responsibilities


Full-scope midwifery practice


Labor and delivery management


Inpatient obstetric coverage


OB triage evaluation and management


Intrapartum care


Postpartum care


Well-woman gynecologic examinations


First assist in obstetrical procedures


Collaboration with hospital-based OB/GYN team

Practice Environment


Approximately 1,300-1,500 annual births


Level III NICU onsite


24-hour in-house OB/GYN physician support


Multidisciplinary maternity care team


EMR: Epic

Requirements


Certified Nurse Midwife certification


Board Certified


Active Texas license


Active Texas DEA


Minimum 2 years of full-scope midwifery experience


Minimum 2 years of recent first-assist experience


First-assist experience must be within the last 2 years


Experience managing labor and delivery, postpartum care, and OB triage in a hospital setting
