Construction Project Manager

E. F. Brett and Company, Inc., A Bay Area based General Contractor, is seeking a qualified Project Manager for projects in the $3 million to $50 million range. E. F. Brett and Company, is a well-established Public Works General Construction Company founded in 2008. We are known for our high standards of quality and professionalism. DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES Manage project cost and schedule Prepare and update construction master schedules Perform project start-up, buyout, execution, completion and closeout Draft, review and submit monthly project billings Prepare cost reports on a monthly basis Prime contract and subcontract review and negotiation Produce and submit the following documents accurately: RFI's, RFI Log, Change Orders Assist in reviewing shop-drawing submittals from subcontractors Work collaboratively with assigned field superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure quality control and project compliance Resolve problems as they arise from the plans and specifications, unknown existing conditions, conflicts, with architects, engineers, designers, subcontractors and/or vendors Effectively and efficiently assist the superintendent to manage the completion of all punch list items SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Minimum 3 years’ project management experience in a project management role on public works construction projects.RESIDENTIAL DOES NOT QUALIFY Ability to manage multiple tasks and exhibits excellent follow up skills Conducts themselves in a professional manner Self-motivated & punctual Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and proficient with at least one of the following versions of scheduling software; Microsoft Project, Primavera or Sure Trak Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize work assignments, and attention to detail Excellent written and oral communication skills Working knowledge of all phases of construction E.F.
