Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Multiple contract openings are available for skilled Special Education Teachers to work onsite across elementary and high school resource rooms, providing vital instructional support in a dynamic educational setting. Roles span from August 31, 2026 through June 10, 2027, with each position offering a 37.5-hour workweek—perfect for dedicated educators ready to empower students every day.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education and a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate (per Michigan Department of Education requirements), OR
  • Bachelor’s degree and current enrollment in an approved teacher certification program recognized by the MDE
  • Experience in classroom settings within school districts is preferred
  • Endorsements in Learning Disabilities (SM) and/or Cognitive Impairment (SA) are highly valued

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing direct and indirect support to students with disabilities in positive, inclusive settings
  • Using specialized instructional techniques, such as multisensory teaching and phonics, tailored to individual student abilities
  • Implementing IEP goals, modifying curriculum, and utilizing assistive technologies to address diverse learning profiles
  • Facilitating academic and social skills development with evidence-based, positive behavior support strategies
  • Planning and leading lessons that combine direct instruction, guided practice, and independent work
  • Collaborating regularly with general educators, related service professionals, families, and administration to drive student growth and maintain compliance
