What You’ll Do

As a Hot Cook, you’ll work alongside our Executive Chef and culinary team preparing high-quality meals for Pennswood residents and guests.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and established quality standards
• Work the hot line and grill station in a high-volume kitchen
• Prepare high-quality food in batches and to order
• Coordinate with the culinary team to ensure meals are prepared accurately and on time
• Maintain consistent quality, presentation and portioning
• Follow food safety, sanitation and proper food-handling standards
• Monitor food usage and help minimize waste
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation using a “clean as you go” approach
• Assist in other areas of the kitchen as needed

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who enjoys cooking, works well as part of a team and takes pride in the quality of the food they prepare.

Qualified candidates should have:

• Previous hot-line cooking experience
• Experience in a high-volume kitchen or food-production environment; 3–5 years preferred
• A commitment to excellent food quality and presentation
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong teamwork and customer-service mindset
• Professional and dependable work habits
• ServSafe certification is a plus
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including every other weekend and some holidays
