Position Overview:
Objective of the Role
The MRI Technologist's main responsibility is to conduct routine, specialized, and interventional MRI imaging. This role also includes performing venipuncture as necessary and providing assistance to the Radiologist and Radiology nurses during sedation procedures.
Position Requirements:
Educational Background:
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program that complies with MQSA standards
Licenses and Certifications:
- Valid certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in MRI, along with Texas Department of State Health certification (MRT), or ARMRIT certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
Professional Experience:
- Preferred minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience
