Temporary Industrial Inventory Specialist – Pipe & Valve Materials

Location: Deer Park, TX
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
Duration: Approximately 3 months

Position Overview:

We are seeking Temporary Industrial Inventory Specialists to assist with a large physical inventory project at an industrial warehouse and outdoor yard in Deer Park, TX.

This is a hands-on inventory position requiring candidates to identify, measure, tag, and document industrial materials and fixed assets. Candidates should have previous experience working with or around industrial piping, valves, flanges, fittings, or pipe yard inventory and be comfortable identifying common materials and components.

The majority of the work will be performed outdoors in a large industrial yard , so candidates must be comfortable working outside and performing physical tasks throughout the shift.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct physical inventory of materials, equipment, and fixed assets throughout the warehouse and outdoor yard.
• Identify and document industrial pipe, valves, flanges, fittings, and related materials .
• Measure pipe and other materials accurately and record dimensions and identifying information.
• Attach numbered metal inventory tags to individual items using metal wire.
• Record tag numbers, material descriptions, measurements, quantities, and other required information on pre-printed inventory sheets.
• Match physical materials and equipment to inventory documentation when applicable.
• Maintain accurate, organized, and legible inventory records.
• Assist with locating, counting, and verifying materials stored throughout the yard and warehouse.
• Work carefully around pipe, equipment, forklifts, and other activity within an industrial yard.
• Follow all site safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with industrial piping, valves, flanges, fittings, or pipe yard inventory is strongly preferred .
• Experience in a pipe yard, industrial warehouse, fabrication facility, oil & gas environment, valve company, supply company, or similar industrial setting is preferred.
• Ability to recognize and differentiate common industrial piping components and materials.
• Ability to use a tape measure accurately and record measurements correctly.
• Previous physical inventory, material handling, warehouse, or yard experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate written records.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Forklift experience or certification is a plus.
• Must be comfortable working outdoors for the majority of the shift .
• Must be able to perform physical work, including walking, standing, bending, reaching, and handling materials throughout the workday.
