Travel MRI Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a weekend-focused role at a Level IV Trauma Center in Kenosha, WI, requiring 1-2 years of experience and strong hands‑on proficiency with Siemens 1.5T and 3T scanners. Requirements Minimum 1-2 years of MRI experience; outpatient experience accepted with a strong and varied exam mix Strong, recent hands‑on experience with Siemens 1.5T and 3T MRI systems required Current BLS and ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification required License required if applicable Proficiency in basic MR principles and MR safety practices, including strong implant screening and workup knowledge Peripheral IV placement and IV contrast injection skills required At least 1 professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN dated within the past year Candidate DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration Candidate middle name or initial required for consideration Responsibilities Inpatient, outpatient, and ED patient population with a primarily adult focus; pediatric patients seen on a limited, cooperative-only basis 3T scanner used for prostate, abdominal, pelvis, and MRCP exams; 1.5T scanner used for extremity, brain, and spine exams Less common exams such as breast and cardiac MRI are generally avoided on weekends unless the tech is comfortable performing them Siemens Sola 1.5T and Siemens Skyra 3T scanners — experience with both is required Deep Resolve AI software is used to help reduce scan times EMR: Epic; PACS: McKesson/Change Healthcare 12-hour day shifts, 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (36 hours/week) This is a weekend-only role; weekend shifts are required every weekend Included in the department on-call rotation, shared equally among 6–8 techs with a mix of weekday and weekend on-call; 30-minute response time required One holiday shift is required during the contract No floating required First-time travelers will be considered if they have significant experience and strong, recent Siemens scanner proficiency Local candidates are accepted at the same rate; no radius restrictions apply Typical shift staffing consists of 2 MRI techs and 1 imaging patient assistant (IPA) running two scanners A lead tech is present Monday–Friday; weekend staff work more independently An imaging patient assistant/transporter is staffed on weekends to assist with patient screening, transfers, room turnover, and unit efficiency Virtual radiologist support is available 24/7 via phone or Teams Orientation consists of NEO plus 1–2 on-unit orientation shifts Up to 3–4 days of time off may be approved during the contract Former employees of Advocate Health or any of its subsidiaries must have been separated for at least 12 months before being eligible Any color scrubs are acceptable Free parking is available on site Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Job ID: P-735954 Open Positions: 1 #J-18808-Ljbffr
