  • Schedule: Night 3x12-Hour (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM)
  • Shifts per week: 3
  • Every other weekend required
  • Travel experience is preferred; local candidates will not be considered
Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with specialized experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) settings. The ideal candidate must possess relevant certifications and demonstrate the ability to provide high-quality respiratory care to neonates. The position requires competency in various life-saving interventions and familiarity with respiratory equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to neonates in the NICU.
  • Assist in high-risk deliveries and neonatal transports.
  • Perform intubation and extubation as needed.
  • Administer aerosol therapies and manage mechanical ventilation.
  • Conduct capillary and arterial blood gas analyses.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in RRT and NICU.
  • Active state or compact license is required.
  • Hold current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP (required for RRT-NICU), and RRT.
  • Experience with a charting system is necessary.
  • Knowledge of various respiratory techniques and conditions, including ARDS, BPD, and RSV.
Skills
  • Proficient in handling high-frequency oscillators, CPAP, and BiPAP ventilation.
  • Ability to perform chest physiotherapy and suctioning techniques.
  • Competence in emergency response situations and patient transport.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Information
  • Orientation includes a combination of virtual and on-site training.
  • Must be willing to float to other departments as needed.
  • Must maintain compliance with all facility policies and protocols.
