With ST Engineering iDirect, the sky isn’t the limit—it’s just the beginning.We are looking for a highly motivated manufacturing test engineering professional, who can work alongside our Design, Quality and Manufacturing teams to create infrastructure needed to ensure that products shipped to customers are defect free. This position will require you to leverage your knowledge of Manufacturing, Manufacturing Test, Hardware design and Software development to create innovative, and groundbreaking solutions that are required to test today's complex hardware.This position involves access to hardware, software, technology, technical data, and/or services that may be regulated under the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), U.S. sanctions laws administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and other applicable export control, sanctions, and national security laws and regulations.As a condition of employment, and where permitted by applicable law, candidates may be required to provide information necessary for the Company to determine whether any export license, governmental authorization, security clearance, or other regulatory approval is required before access to controlled items, technology, technical data, software, or services can be granted.In addition to U.S. requirements, access to certain controlled information, technology, technical data, products, or services may be subject to export control, sanctions, national security, or similar regulatory requirements in other jurisdictions where the Company operates or conducts business. All applicants are evaluated on their qualifications, and export-control status information is collected and used solely for regulatory compliance purposes.ResponsibilitiesNew Product Introduction (NPI) ResponsibilitiesWorking with the hardware design engineering teams, define an efficient test strategy for boards, modules, and systems. This encompasses the definition of test hardware, test fixtures, and embedded test resources within the product to improve testabilityProvide level of effort estimates to the NPI product manager to support scheduling of development and factory introduction activityDevelop manufacturing test software within a LabVIEW/Teststand/Python environmentActively participate in the definition and evolution of the manufacturing test software environmentFactory Sustaining ResponsibilitiesSupport production activity within ST Engineering iDirect by helping to resolve production issues as they occur, with emphasis on understanding and resolving the root cause of the problemidentify opportunities for manufacturing test cost reduction, such as test yield improvements, and test time reductions, without impacting outgoing product qualityWork with our IT team to evaluate and improve our data collection, and test metric reporting capabilitiesRepresent Manufacturing test at Business Review meetings with teams at our manufacturing sitesQualificationsBS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent5+ years experience in the test engineering profession5+ years experience developing manufacturing test software using Labview/Teststand Python Programming experience including instrument control, interfacing with SQL databases, and source management best practicesExperience in hardware design an assetDemonstrated ability to work independently to achieve desired results from general objectivesExcellent teamwork and interpersonal skillsAbility to work with contractors, and engineering teams worldwideExcellent communication skills: listening, speaking, and in writing; able to express thoughts and concepts to a variety of people with different skill levelsExperience with communication systems, radio/microwave frequency, and/or vsat systems is a plusPay Range: $90,000-$120,000The ST Engineering iDirect salary range for this position is intended to provide a general guideline for compensation. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the duties and responsibilities of the role, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and other business or legal considerations.
