As such, the salary for this position will be commensurate with the candidate's years of experience and demonstrated skills.What You Will DoDesign, implement, and optimize regulatory control strategies (PID, cascade, feedforward) and DCS-based model predictive controlsIdentify and execute opportunities to improve unit performance, reliability, and constraint managementPartner with Operations to ensure process control applications deliver sustained value and high uptimeTroubleshoot complex process control and plant stability issues to improve overall performanceDevelop and scale Procedure Automation applications to enhance operator efficiency and consistencyProvide ongoing support, tuning, and optimization for process control systemsContribute to capital projects by providing process control expertise and technical inputCollaborate across Koch companies through knowledge networks and technical forumsServe as a technical resource and, based on experience, mentor and elevate team capabilityWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)Experience in process control within refining, petrochemical, or similar industrial environmentsEngineering degree or equivalent process control/automation experienceKnowledge of process troubleshooting, plant stability, and control tuningWhat Will Put You AheadSignificant experience applying process control in complex refining or petrochemical systemsExperience designing, implementing, and optimizing advanced regulatory or model predictive controlsExperience with Procedure Automation or sequencing applicationsExperience with Emerson DeltaV or similar DCS platformsDemonstrated ability to identify and drive opportunities that improve operational or business performanceExperience mentoring or developing other engineersKnowledge of ISA 18.2 alarm management conceptsExperience with coding, analytics, or data tools (e.g., Python)This role is subject to the Transportation Workers Identification Credentialing (TWIC) rule and requires the successful candidate to obtain a TWIC identification badge, allowing for un-escorted access to the facility within a specific time period.At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
