PBX Operator - PRN

PBX Operator

The PBX Operator is the pivotal point of communication for the facility. They are responsible for answering incoming calls politely and ensuring they reach the correct department, clinic, or person. PBX Operators answer and log calls for clinics during their closed hours. Efficient information management is necessary, as well as a pleasant demeanor. In case of emergencies or codes, the PBX Operator is responsible for making sure that all necessary parties are informed of the situation via various methods of communication and that emergency services have been notified.

Essential Functions:

• Keep up to date on-call information, as well as communication preferences for each contact
• Adheres to and follows all patient experience initiatives
• Reports to and depart from work on time and as scheduled
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Must be able to deal with stress while maintaining composure
• Follows and adheres to TRMC vaccine policy(s) mandated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)

Work Experience:

• At least one year of experience in customer service and/or related field is preferred.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
