Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 08/31/2026 Duration: 12 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse – Night Shift Schedule: Day Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours Per Week Weekend & Holiday Protocol: Must be willing to work 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, and holidays as scheduled. Assignment Duration: Standard Travel Assignment (13 Weeks) | Open Position Submission Hardstops [STRICT & NON-NEGOTIABLE] Experience Baseline [HARDSTOP]: Minimum 2+ years of clinical ER experience. Patient Population Mandate [HARDSTOP]: Direct clinical experience caring for both adult and pediatric Emergency Department patients. Clinical Competencies Required [HARDSTOP]: Proven competency in IV insertion, continuous cardiac monitoring, procedural sedation support, acute stroke protocols, sepsis resuscitation, and emergency stabilization. EMR & Equipment Proficiency: Direct charting experience in Epic EMR required. Familiarity with Alaris infusion pumps and standard ED equipment preferred. Travel Experience: Previous travel nursing experience preferred, but first-time travel nurses are accepted. Licensure & Certifications [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION]: Active Connecticut State RN License or active eNLC Multistate Compact RN License. Active AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification. Active AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification. Active AHA PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification. Active NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification. Preferred Certifications: TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) and CPI / NCI (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention).
