Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Room environment with an average daily census of approximately 105 patients
• Manage patient flow across a department with 20 rooms and 26 beds, supporting approximately 135 visits per day
• Float to the Observation Unit to cover ER hold patients as needed
• Adhere to weekend requirements, with an expected commitment of 3 out of every 6 weekends
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Maintain a valid California RN license in hand at time of submission — pending licenses are not accepted

Required Qualifications

• Active, valid California RN license (compact license must be in hand at submission; pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at the standard rate; locals within 50 miles may be considered at a different rate
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start (Charge RNs/Leads accepted)
• Must be able to submit all RTO and scheduling requests upfront at time of submittal; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered
• RTO requests may not exceed 7 days total for the assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers are also encouraged to apply
• Experience in high-census, fast-paced emergency department settings
• Familiarity with observation unit or ER hold patient care
