The ideal candidate will have experience circulating in a fast-paced CVOR environment and will be capable of providing exceptional care for a diverse range of surgical cases. Unit Information Unit Type: Cardio OR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) Number of Suites: 12 Average Cases per Day: 20 Shift Details Shift Length: 8 hours Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Shift Schedule: 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM or 6:45 AM - 5:15 PM, Monday through Friday Call Requirements: Minimum 1 weekday and 1 full weekend per month, subject to variation based on staffing Parking: Daily parking available; monthly parking options range from various rates Responsibilities The selected candidate will be responsible for: Circulating in a busy cardiovascular operating room setting Collaborating with a team of surgeons and OR personnel Applying thorough CVOR knowledge to support various surgical procedures Ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process Qualifications Required Experience: 2 years of CVOR circulating experience Certifications: ACLS and BLS Certification Preferred Skills: Scrub experience is a plus, though not required Technical Skills: Familiarity with Epic EMR system Common Surgical Cases The CVOR team primarily handles a variety of complex cases, including but not limited to: Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) Mitral Valve Replacement (MVR) Aortic Valve Replacement (AVR) Kidney Transplant Robotic Surgery (Thoracic and Cardiac) Peripheral Vascular Surgery Aortic Repair Vascular Access Hybrid Procedures (TEVAR/EVAR, TAVR) Impella and IABP management Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) support Additional Information Orientation will be provided specific to the unit and department.
