Warehouse Equipment Maintenance Technician

Position includes, but not limited to, maintaining and repairing Crown brand warehouse equipment, inventory and repair records for all equipment. Experience repairing Taylor Dunn Carts, Tennant machines, maintaining and repairing Stock Pickers, Stand Up Reach Riders, and Sit-Down Forklifts a plus.

$26.50 per hour PLUS the potential to earn $4.00 per hour with our attendance incentive program!

Must be able to work 2PM - 10:30 PM with Friday/Saturday off.

Position Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following):

1. Operates test equipment (ohmmeters, voltmeters, voltage regulator and oscilloscopes) to check proper connections and/or Troubleshooting.
2. Assisting, maintaining, overhauling and repairing all material-handling equipment.
3. Inspects equipment.
4. Performs periodic Preventative Maintenance on all Material Handling Equipment.
5. Conducts the removal and replacement of lift batteries safely.
6. Operates Hydra-Handler Sled.
7. Disposes of Hazardous Material in accordance with established OSHA procedures.
8. Performs minor maintenance tasks under direct supervision.
9. Performs other duties as assigned or as the situation dictates within the scope of the position.
10. Cleans equipment and work areas for the safety of staff and the maintenance of facility.
11. Maintaining open communication with management.
12. Various other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:
13. Good communications skills and the ability to work well with people.
14. Working knowledge of Basic Electricity & Electronics (BEE) and Troubleshooting.
15. Working knowledge of Machine shop practices.
16. Working knowledge in Blueprint/Schematic reading.
17. Considerable skills in operating power tools.
18. Working skills of basic welding fundamentals.
19. Working knowledge of applied mathematics and basic computer knowledge.
20. Considerable skills in Maintenance mechanics.
21. Ability to operate warehouse equipment (Hi-lift, RC, Pallet Jack, etc.).
22. Considerable knowledge of Safety practices.
23. Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
24. Ability to understand written and oral instructions.
25. Must be self-motivated and dependable.
26. Considerable ability to multi-task and troubleshoot.
27. Education/Training: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
28. Working Conditions: Environmental: Warehouse environment: exposure to cold. Physical Requirements: Sufficient physical ability to perform all maintenance tasks, including, but not limited to:
29. Occasionally lift and carry weight up to 80 lbs.
30. Occasionally climb ladders or use lift equipment to a height in excess of 28 ft.
31. Manual dexterity in hands and legs to use tools, bend and stretch.
