Medical Assistant -PRN

Provides general nursing care to patients in a clinical setting. Responsible for administering treatments, documenting care, educating patients, and collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure high-quality patient care.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments within scope of practice.

• Monitor patient responses and notify providers of any changes or concerns.

• Accurately and timely document all patient care in the electronic health record.

• Assist in developing and implementing individualized patient and family education plans.

• Manage patient care plans according to individual needs.

• Maintain clinical competencies and follow standards applicable to specialty area.

• Adhere strictly to infection control and safety protocols.

• Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.

• Communicate clinical information professionally with providers and healthcare team members.

Qualifications

Education & Certification

• Completion of an approved Medical Assistant (MA) program with State Certification

• 3–6 months of related clinical experience preferred
