You are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Security Department, providing direct supervision of team activities and guiding your staff to uphold the highest standards of safety and service. By actively monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, you create a secure environment for guests, team members, and company assets.Job Description:Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Recruit, onboard, schedule, coach, evaluate, and manage department staff to support high performance, engagement, and alignment with company standards and service excellence.Drive the execution of strategic initiatives by translating organizational goals into actionable plans, ensuring team alignment, accountability, and timely delivery under the guidance of division leadership.Establish and uphold service standards within assigned department(s), ensuring consistent delivery that meets or exceeds guest expectations and operational goals.Patrol the casino and hotel property to detect safety or security hazards and intervene proactivelyOversee transfers of money, chips, and tokens on the casino floor and manage hopper fills, credit transportation, and armored escort proceduresInvestigate and document incidents involving guests, employees, or property; secure crime scenes and submit detailed incident reportsAct as backup for Security Officers when necessary, including staffing coverage and direct responseAttend departmental meetings to facilitate communication and coordination across shifts.Oversee payroll and related administrative duties to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirementsEnsure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the positionProvide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company's guest service culture standardsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications3 years of law enforcement, military, EMT, or related experience; includes leadership or progressive responsibility in security or protective servicesProven track record of effective decision-making under pressure and in dynamic environmentsStrong interpersonal and communication skills to influence, coach, and resolve conflict across all levels of the organizationAbility to adapt leadership style to support changing business needs and team dynamicsCommitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and high-performing workplace cultureProactive problem-solving mindset with a focus on accountability and continuous improvementSkilled in prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities to meet deadlines and drive resultsFlexible and dependable schedule availabilityAbility to access and input information using a moderately complex computer systemSkilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word; familiarity with collaboration tools like Microsoft TeamsRequirementsThis position is classified as safety-sensitive and requires successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening, including testing for marijuanaAt least 21 years of ageHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredAbility to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbalObtain and maintain all work cards as required by the companyVerify right to work in the United StatesWork CardsAlcohol Awareness CardNevada Gaming RegistrationDrivers License10 Year DMV History ReportConcealed Carry Weapon PermitPhysical RequirementsOccasionally push/pull up to 75lbsOccasionally lift and/or carry up to 75lbs at floor, knee, waist, and chest levelsOccasionally squat, kneel, reach, bend, twistRegularly sit and work at a desk or computerRegularly standing and walkingOccasionally run as situations dictateAbility to communicate using in-person speech, radios, and telephoneAbility to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sound in personAbility to distinguish between shades of colorAbility to use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterityWork Environment Potential ConditionsIndoorOutdoorSmokyNoisyBright flashing lightsExtreme HeightsExtreme hot /cold temperaturesSlippery surfacesExposure to dust, fumes, and/or gasesDisclaimerThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
