Assistant Professor, Pediatric Nephrology

Salary $170,000 - $190,000 Johns Hopkins University: School of Medicine: Department ofPediatrics: Nephrology Description The Division of Pediatric Nephrology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is seeking a full-time faculty member to start July 1, 2027. The division currently consists of 7 faculty, and is supported by a transplant NP, 3 clinic nurses, dedicated dieticians, behavioral health specialists, pharmacists, social workers, child life specialists and research coordinators. The faculty participate in a full range of academic activities, including clinical care, research, medical education, advocacy, and quality improvement. The division has multiple clinical programs including an active kidney transplant program and the only outpatient dialysis unit dedicated to the care of children in the state of Maryland. The division provides the full range of inpatient dialysis services with the support of in-house dialysis nurses. Outpatient clinics are located throughout Maryland and the Washington DC area. The Department of Pediatrics consists of over 250 full-time faculty members and clinical associates across 17 academic divisions, 232 part-time faculty, and 97 joint faculty. Over the past year the Children’s Center discharged more than 10,000 patients and conducted nearly 140,000 outpatient visits. Duties and Responsibilities The position is primarily clinical with 10% dedicated effort for education, but there are ample opportunities and mentorship for those interested in career development in clinical research, education and/or quality improvement.
