Location: 8536 Wilshire Blvd, Suite 202, Beverly Hills, CA 90211 Shift: Day Shift 58 hours (08:00 AM 05:00 PM) Duration: 13 weeks
Job Overview
The Patient Financial Services Specialist is responsible for managing patient financial inquiries, ensuring accurate account updates, and delivering high-quality customer service. This role requires strong knowledge of insurance processes, billing workflows, and patient communication.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years of experience in:
- Customer service
- Patient financial services
- Hands-on experience with:
- Explanation of Benefits (EOB)
- Financial assistance programs
- Patient disputes and issue resolution
- Insurance verification
- Authorization processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Epic (EHR system)
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to web-based and email inquiries
- Manage and work assigned Epic work queues
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for complex internal and external inquiries
- Accurately update patient account information (registration, insurance, etc.)
- Maintain detailed and compliant documentation for all accounts
- Follow up on unresolved customer issues until completion
- Conduct patient call-backs as needed
- Process and respond to patient correspondence in a timely manner
- Handle escalated cases with professionalism and efficiency
