Job Title: Neuro/PCU RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: South Carolina license or Compact license required prior to start Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Telemetry competency required Description: We are seeking a Neuro/PCU RN for our Progressive Care Unit. A virtual interview is required for all candidates. The nursing director will contact candidates within 24 to 48 hours to schedule the interview. Shifts available are 3x12s or 4x12s, during the day from 7 AM to 7 PM. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:4-5. Candidates will be required to work every other weekend. Floating within scope to meet facility needs is expected. All travelers must complete assigned modules prior to their start date. Attendance at staff meetings is required. Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis. The facility allows for one shift to be canceled every two weeks. In the event of two call-outs without a documented medical reason, the contract may be canceled. Candidates must be flexible to fill the needs of the unit. During hurricane season, employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. All candidates must complete necessary compliance requirements prior to their start date. This position requires experience in telemetry and a background in neurology.
