About Electra

At Electra, we're building the EL9 — a nine-passenger, hybrid-electric aircraft that takes off and lands in 150 feet. Our Ultra Short technology unlocks thousands of new operating locations and enables what we call Direct Aviation: quiet, point-to-point regional travel that gets people from where they are to where they want to go, without the congestion of major airports or the noise of conventional aviation.

A global company, headquartered in Manassas, VA, Electra is backed by Lockheed Martin, Honeywell, and Safran, has filed for FAA Part 23 type certification, and carries 2,000+ intent to purchase from operators worldwide. We're a team of ~100 people moving fast toward first EL9 test flights in 2027 and certification by late 2029 or 2030. Every hire matters at this stage — and this role is no exception.

The Role

Electra is standing up for a new production facility in Ohio, and you'll be the person who builds it - from the first shovel in the ground through full site build-out. As Senior Manager, Infrastructure, you'll partner with manufacturing and operations leadership to turn operational requirements into a clear scope of work, own the RFP process, and manage every design, construction, and civil engineering relationship needed to deliver the site.

This covers far more than the production lines themselves: utilities and mechanical systems, the paint booth, parking, and common/people areas all fall under Infrastructure. You'll effectively serve as project manager for the entire facility, and you'll stay engaged well past the first phase - supporting each subsequent construction phase and module as Electra ramps production.

You'll also play a role in standing up Electra's Ohio MRO presence, including overseeing build-out or lease adaptation as that network takes shape.

What You'll Do

• Partner with manufacturing and operations leadership to translate operational requirements into clear scope of work for the Ohio facility build
• Own statement-of-work and RFP development for construction, design, and civil engineering partners
• Engage with local stakeholders to strengthen collaboration during the execution phases, including alignment with Airport Operations rules and requirements, and improvements in the Facility surroundings (e.g. road, taxiway)
• Serve as day-to-day project manager for the full site build - production lines, utilities and mechanical systems, the paint booth, parking, and common/people areas
• Manage relationships and drive performance of construction, design, and civil engineering firms throughout the building
• Support the site through each subsequent construction phase and module as Electra ramps production
• Represent Infrastructure in planning and stand-up of Electra's Ohio MRO presence, including any leased-facility build-out or adaptation
• Provide regular schedule, scope, and budget updates to leadership

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field
• 12+ years of relevant experience
• Proven track record managing large-scale industrial or commercial construction projects end-to-end, including RFP development
• Experience managing multiple design, construction, and civil engineering partners at once
• Experience with phased builds or production ramps, ideally in a manufacturing environment
• Strong project management skills and comfort owning ambiguity across concurrent workstreams
• Aerospace or aviation industry background is a plus, not a requirement

Bonus Points

• Experience standing up greenfield manufacturing facilities
• Familiarity with MRO facility requirements or aviation maintenance operations

Experience managing both owned and leased industrial space

This range reflects the anticipated hiring range across all eligible locations; actual compensation is determined based on your relevant experience, skills, and geographic location. Total compensation includes performance bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Compensation Range

$135,000—$160,000 USD
