Director Of Staff Development/Infection Control Nurse

We are hiring a Director of Staff Development/Infection Control Nurse to join our dynamic care team at Berkshire Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Sandisfield! Berkshire Rehab is a 57-bed all-male skilled nursing facility. Salaried role with weekly pay of $40 to $50 per hour. 40 hours a week. Recipient of the 2025 Bronze Commitment to Quality Award by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL)!

The purpose of your job is to direct educational programs for the nursing department while overseeing the infection control and wound programs.

Experience & Education:

• Must possess, as a minimum, a nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing, college, or university.
• Must possess an active and unencumbered LPN or RN license in Massachusetts.
• Must be CPR certified.
• Must have at least one (1) year of nursing supervision in a skilled nursing facility.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure that general orientation is completed for all employees.
• Conduct job-specific orientation for Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants.
• Develop and implement educational programs based on identified needs to ensure the knowledge and skills of personnel.
• Develop and distribute annual and monthly education calendars.
• Maintain a library of resource information and self-study programs for facility staff
• Maintain staff development records accurately and timely.
• Plan, organize, develop, coordinate, direct, and evaluate our Infection Control Program and its components to ensure an effective Infection Prevention & Control Program is maintained.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation related to the Infection Control & Prevention Program.
• Conduct monthly surveillance rounds to evaluate the status of Infection-related practices in the facility.
