Senior Backend Engineer
Join Telnyx as a Senior Backend Engineer in our WebRTC squad, where you will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing backend services for our real-time communications and Voice SDK platform. You will take ownership of services related to authentication, push notifications, and more, ensuring their reliability and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain backend services for WebRTC and Voice SDK products.
- Improve the reliability and scalability of customer-facing services.
- Collaborate with mobile and JavaScript SDK engineers on backend system ownership.
- Diagnose production issues and enhance deployment processes.
- Shape the technical direction of backend systems supporting WebRTC products.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience in building and operating backend systems.
- Proficiency in Elixir or a willingness to learn quickly.
- Experience with distributed systems and service-oriented architectures.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, CI/CD, and modern infrastructure.
- Strong observability mindset with knowledge of logging and metrics.
