Head of Design

Lead Graphic Designer (DTC / Ecommerce)

Pay: $15/hour + performance bonuses (monthly earnings can be doubled with bonuses).

We’re looking for an experienced, all-round design lead who we can trust with almost any design problem, from product imagery and packaging to advertising creatives and reviewing the work of other designers.

This is a senior, hands-on role for someone with strong commercial taste who can take ownership rather than simply wait for design tickets and instructions.

What You’ll Own

You’ll be responsible for creating and improving visual work across our ecommerce brands, including:

• Product imagery for PDPs, packshots, and lifestyle creatives
• Packaging design
• Occasional Meta and static advertising creatives
• AI-generated product and lifestyle imagery
• Text-in-image creatives with strong typography and composition
• Reviewing work from other designers and providing clear, actionable feedback
• Maintaining and raising the overall visual quality of the brand

You’ll both design and lead . We want someone who can spot when something isn't good enough, explain why, and help turn it into something better.

Who We’re Looking For

You should have:

• Strong experience in ecommerce or commercial product design
• A portfolio demonstrating product-focused work, not primarily logos or branding projects
• Excellent visual judgment, composition, typography, and attention to detail
• Strong AI image-generation and editing skills
• Experience creating convincing AI product/lifestyle imagery
• Strong text-in-image skills
• The ability to independently solve design problems
• Experience reviewing other designers' work and giving useful feedback
• A proactive approach. You should be comfortable suggesting improvements instead of waiting to be told exactly what to do.

Nice to Have

• Agency or design studio experience
• DTC ecommerce experience
• Experience with jewelry, gifts, pet products, or other physical consumer products
• Strong Figma skills
• Advanced image compositing and retouching workflows
• Experience designing high-converting ecommerce product pages or ad creatives

What This Role Is Not

This is not a basic graphic designer position and we're not looking for someone who primarily creates logos.

We need someone capable of owning commercial design work from concept through final execution and helping other designers improve their output.

Compensation

$15/hour + performance bonuses.

Strong performance is rewarded significantly, and monthly earnings can be doubled with bonuses.
