Senior Manufacturing Engineer

A growing division of a large, established heavy mobile equipment manufacturer is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to develop, implement, and improve factory processes. Serving as the link between design engineering and the production floor, this role provides the manufacturing expertise needed to bring new products into production and manage processing changes to existing products. The position reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and is responsible for maintaining production capability, improving quality, reducing cost, improving safety, and maximizing throughput.

Schedule: Full-time, with a flexible 4-day compressed schedule available (9-hour days Monday through Thursday, 4 hours on Friday).

Compensation: $90,000 to $115,000 per year, based on experience, plus bonus eligibility.

What You'll Do:

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer takes the lead on assembly line setup, establishing processes and documentation, and brings mobile equipment products from design hand-off through to completion. This includes planning, supporting, and leading the introduction of new products to the manufacturing floor, managing integration into existing lines with attention to line balance, pFMEA, and line efficiency.

The role leads the development of Operation Method Standards and applies advanced Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement concepts to reduce waste within manufacturing processes. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer troubleshoots production line problems and leads initiatives that mitigate risk, maintain ISO compliance, and reduce costs. The role also leads design initiatives within the manufacturing process, including line and cell layout, tooling, and part flow, supports capital equipment justification, and works to advance safety and ergonomic practices.

Required Qualifications:

• BS in Engineering
• 5 to 12 years of experience in manufacturing engineering in a large assembly operation
• Proficient computer skills including CAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
• Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Engineering
• Experience with Pro-E or Creo CAD software
• Prior experience establishing an assembly line from concept into production
