Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

$2203.20/week -

Job Summary:

Provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures within the Cardiac Cath Lab. Collaborates with the medical team to ensure safe, efficient, and effective patient treatment.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer pre-procedure assessments and prepare patients for cardiac catheterization and other vascular interventions.
  
  
• 
  Operate and monitor advanced equipment such as Shockwave, Laser, CSI, Penumbra, IABP, Impella, and Rotoblator during procedures.
  
  
• 
  Assist cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring adherence to protocols and safety standards.
  
  
• 
  Document patient care activities accurately in the EMR system, including Meditech and MacLab.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and families on procedures, post-care instructions, and recovery processes.
  
  
• 
  Maintain infection control practices and ensure all safety policies are followed.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an active RN license with at least 1 year of experience in cardiac catheterization or EP lab settings.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
  
  
• 
  Have current knowledge of vascular access, Pacing, and Peripheral Vascular intervention techniques.
  
  
• 
  Possess strong critical thinking and multitasking abilities in a high-pressure environment.
  
  
• 
  Be able to work in a team-oriented setting, including on-call and holiday schedules.
