Experienced Store General Manager

Position Summary As a SONIC Drive-In restaurant General Manager, you lead operations, train and support employees, and ensure food is delivered safely and efficiently. You maintain a clean environment and provide an excellent customer experience. Key Responsibilities Manage, train, monitor, and coach Crew/Team members, Carhops, and Skating Carhops. Direct and assign drive‑in restaurant employees to meet operational standards. Adhere to and monitor employee compliance with the drive‑in employee handbook, policies, and practices. Perform restaurant opening and closing duties. Prepare employee work schedules and make staffing adjustments as needed. Monitor and maintain restaurant inventory levels; place orders within cost control procedures. Maintain employment-related records and payroll records. Reinforce a customer‑service mentality and ensure all employees focus on serving customers. Respectfully resolve guest requests; report complaints and assist in resolution. Interview and hire restaurant crew and management team members to achieve proper staffing levels. Prepare operational reports and develop action plans to address financial or sales trends. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced studies in business, restaurant management or related fields preferred. Minimum of two years of restaurant management experience with independent shift operation. Commitment to a 5‑day workweek. Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, and selection practices. Familiarity with federal, state labor laws and local health regulations. Leadership and supervisory skills with strong verbal and written communication. Basic accounting and computer skills. Ability to follow directions, work independently, multi‑task, and solve problems. Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, and conflict‑resolution skills. Willingness to adhere to SONIC appearance, uniform, and hygiene standards. Must pass a background check and drug screen. Compensation and Benefits Average pay $84,000 (many earn over $100,000).
