Job Summary:
The ICU Registered Nurse (RN) position in Philadelphia, PA, involves providing specialized care within the Intermediate Care Unit that is part of the Float Pool. The role requires managing patient populations including medical/surgical, Progressive Care Unit (PCU), and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) patients. The RN will assess, implement, and evaluate patient care under the supervision of licensed physicians, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes. The position emphasizes adherence to current nursing principles, clinical protocols, and patient-centered care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shifts with 12 hours per shift; minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited nursing school; 1 year of clinical experience in the ICU or relevant specialty; PA or MSL CompactRegistered Nurse License.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications as indicated by the order.
• Additional Information: The role involves caring for patients with complex withdrawal syndromes, hypertensive conditions, DKA, and other critical diagnoses with specific exclusion criteria such as active seizures, ventilator needs, and arterial lines. The RN will float between designated units except for IMCU-only nurses, with patient ratios never exceeding 3:1 on any unit. The start date for this position is 09/14/2026.
