LPN / LVN – Emergency Department (ED)Location: Central Maine Medical Center, Lewiston, MEFull-time | Nights | 7p–7a | 12-Hour ShiftsThe Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) provides direct and indirect patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department (ED). Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), this role supports urgent and emergent patient care, ensuring patient safety, rapid response, and quality outcomes.ResponsibilitiesDeliver bedside care in a high-volume emergency settingMonitor vital signs, patient condition, and acuity changesAssist with medication administration, IV therapy, and blood drawsSupport trauma, triage, and emergency interventionsCollaborate with RNs, physicians, and care teamsEnsure patient safety, infection control, and ED protocolsDocument care in EMR/EHR systemsCommunicate changes in condition quickly and accuratelyQualificationsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.2. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.3. IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification within 90 days of hire date.4. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.5.
