IT Systems Engineer

IT Support EngineerWe are a growing organization expanding our internal IT capabilities and seeking an IT Support Engineer who thrives in a communicative, collaborative, and fast-moving environment. In this role, you will manage a wide range of technical responsibilities, support daily IT operations, and work closely with our Managed Service Provider (MSP) to ensure smooth and reliable service delivery. This position offers significant opportunities for growth and advancement as our internal systems and infrastructure continue to evolve.Core ResponsibilitiesManage help desk requests from initial intake through resolution, providing timely and effective supportEvaluate and resolve technical issues independently while coordinating with the MSP for lower-priority tasks or specialized supportSupport Microsoft 365 administration including: User provisioning and license assignmentsExchange Online configuration and troubleshootingSharePoint and OneDrive access governance, permissions, and site structureMicrosoft Teams configuration, policies, and basic call flow managementMicrosoft 365 security settings including MFA, conditional access, and device complianceTroubleshoot and assist with networking components such as switches, wireless systems, VPNs, DNS/DHCP, and routing basicsProvision, configure, and monitor virtual machines and assist with environment improvements when neededUtilize Microsoft Copilot tools to streamline tasks, enhance documentation, support troubleshooting workflows, and improve service desk efficiencyMaintain accurate and organized documentation for systems, procedures, and support workflowsCollaborate with internal teams and MSP partners to ensure clear communication, expectations, and follow-throughAssist with IT projects such as migrations, upgrades, deployments, and broader infrastructure enhancementsMonitor endpoints, system updates, compliance states, and overall IT healthIdentify recurring issues and make recommendations to improve user experience and system stabilityRequired Qualifications2–3 years of hands-on IT support or IT service desk experienceAbility to independently manage a full support workload with minimal guidanceStrong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure AD administrationPractical experience with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, Wi-Fi)Familiarity with virtualization concepts and VM operationsExperience interacting with or coordinating work through an MSP or outsourced IT providerStrong communication skills and user-focused support approachAbility to prioritize tasks effectively and follow issues through to resolutionPreferred QualificationsExperience contributing to IT projects or operational improvementsExposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWSFamiliarity with Microsoft Copilot or similar AI-assist toolsCertifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Fundamentals (preferred but not required)Soft SkillsStrong communication and collaboration abilitiesReliable and self-directed work styleProcess improvement mindsetAbility to adapt to a growing and evolving company environmentWhat We OfferClear opportunities for career growth and advancementA supportive environment that values open communication and teamworkThe ability to shape and influence internal IT processes as the company expandsExposure to a wide range of technologies and hands-on project involvement
